It seems that the generation that is now in their 50's are less open to discussing their past. They want nothing to do with their native country, or culture. They wanted to get out so badly that they were willing to forget everything about Romania, the minute they stepped outside its borders. The people who immigrated during the 1960's and after 1990 are more open to letting the world know what they endured. They are proud of where they came from and they still keep all their customs. Also, Romania, during WWII had a very large Jewish population, hence why the sausage place might be kosher. But I really enjoyed this article. It tempts me to visit this mysterious sausage place. :)
